When you are trying to make fitness a lifestyle you must make sure that you are not progressing too fast. One of the biggest mistakes beginners make when starting their workout program is they do too much too fast.
What I tell clients all of the time is too make sure that you are controlling your ambition. It is good to have ambition and goals but you must have the mental discipline and patience to control it or else you will get the opposite effect.
If you are first starting out, you should expect anywhere from four to six weeks to start seeing any change in your body. You will see results immediately as far as how you feel and your energy levels. This is still a good thing and you should give yourself credit for starting a fitness program.
The key things to pay attention to when you are starting your exercise program are what exercises you choose, how many repetitions you perform, and how long you rest in between.
Start off with exercises that are simple and only involve one range of motion where you can control the movement. An example would be a body weight squat or body weight lunge. Body weight exercises are great to start off with because you can control your body much more effectively and safely than you can a foreign weight.
When choosing weights when you begin a resistance training program, start off with really light and easy weight to lift to avoid injury. When lifting the lighter weights pay attention to your form and practice your technique.
Even if you can lift heavier weights when you start, stay disciplined and start light so you can perfect your form. Once your form is perfect then you can start to increase the weight and intensity.
Do not incorporate advanced techniques or advanced moves until your form is PERFECT.
Some advanced techniques are, using one arm or leg at a time, standing on one leg or side of your body to work on your balance, or more compound lifts to challenge your energy system.
If you are a beginner I would recommend that you do not start any advanced exercise techniques for at least six to eight weeks.

Change the World
I had to share this with my followers because I believe that the real power in the world comes from us people! The people who have the courage to run with an idea and think big and take action for the better of our world. There are great people out there who do want to make a difference and create a better place. Contrary to what you see on the tv or the movie screens. There are more good than bad people who do want to make a difference and this is what I believe us humans were made for were to do things bigger than ourselves and to connect with one another. This video is a symbol of how important each and everyone of us really is even though sometimes we may feel “voiceless”. Reblog this video and make everyone aware of what is going on and this is your time to make that difference for something bigger than yourself. This is the time! It is time to end the bad and showcase the good.
