Ever since I can remember I have always loved to be active and workout.I loved how it made me feel. I loved how it gave me confidence in other aspects in my life. I loved how it changed my life forever. When things were not going well in my life, fitness was always there for me. I can never tell fitness thank you enough. It has allowed me to change hundreds of people’s lives.
I want to encourage you to open your heart to the opportunity of what fitness can do for you. You may start off thinking how could someone fall in love with fitness?
The way it happens is very similar to how love for another person happens. You go into the relationship with an open mind and allow yourself to get to know them. You allow yourself to give them a chance and let them make a positive impact in your life. But most importantly, you give them permission to be a part of your life.
Fitness and taking care of yourself can be the difference between having a fulfilling life or a mediocre one. The reason why I say this is I firmly believe that fitness can cure almost everything.
I may be delusional but in my mind fitness cures depression, low self esteem, fatigue, anxiety, worthlessness, sadness, diseases, physical injuries, and most importantly you.
Fitness can be the one thing that helps you feel less self conscious about yourself so that you can put more energy and focus on being the best husband, wife, friend, brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, boss, and employee.
You can love fitness and let it become a passion of yours. I am going to give you permission to do so. Not because I control you but because I want to influence you on a higher level. I want to challenge you to do it but also share it with you because it is a gift. Having passion in your life is a choice that you can make and I promise you that if you just let it touch you, your life will never be the same.
I can’t imagine my life without fitness. I am committed to fitness and all of the gifts that it has given me. I owe fitness my very best effort day in and day out.
So now that you can see what fitness means to me. What are you most passionate about?

I have been building great relationships on my blog www.fiture.co and I have been putting together more and more content to help you guys. And I want to take this Sunday to ask you guys, what is one accomplishment you have achieved in the last 6 months that you are proud of?
I really want to hear the success stories of you guys even if it is a small accomplishment like, did not eat past 7 pm one time. Giving yourself credit can really help to keep you motivated and we all know the name of the game in the fitness marathon journey is being able to sustain motivation.
So I want to hear from you guys, don’t be shy. :)
Like or reblog if you are going to give your best in your workout today.
Here are some of the best ab exercise you can do to get the tight abs that you want. Do high reps (15-20) with low rest (30 seconds or less) in between sets. It is all about intensity and stimulating the abdominal muscles. The one that I have enjoyed doing is the bosu ball ab crunch. What are your guys favorite or effective ones?
Motivation is key when trying to reach your goals. Anyone can be motivated for a day but it is about being motivated for the long term. Reading motivational quotes and working on bettering your mind is just as important as exercising your body. My favorite quote to motivate myself is “There is no such thing as perfect timing, you create the perfect timing.” What are your guys favorite quotes that motivate you?

Another example of a why is coming from a family who was obese and saw the hurt and bad health that they experienced and how it negatively affected certain aspects of their lives. They decided that they wanted to do something about it and not let the trend keep going and so they want to be a good role model to their kids and to their other family members who are going through the same struggle.
I had a female client who came in and had obviously lost hope in her life and herself. Her husband had filed for a divorce and she was going to become a single mother of a teenage daughter and was over one hundred pounds overweight. She felt helpless and came to me because she needed help and wanted control of her life again. She wanted to buy training and before she bought she told me she could not afford it and left. I felt really bad because I could see the pain in this lady’s face and I wanted to desperately help her out in getting herself back.
The next day she came in and told me that she had lied to me and that she could afford it but that she was scared to commit because she was afraid to fail. Wow what an emotional moment for both me and her as she had let everything that she had kept bottle inside. She started to cry and agreed to start personal training because she did not know what else to do and that she thought long and hard about what I had told her the day before of taking care of herself and that she deserved it and that I believed in her.
I told her that I would do whatever it took to help her and that I would bring her on our team and that our team would help her through this hard time and that we really were in this to change people’s lives but most importantly her life.
We discovered her why was that she wanted to prove to herself that she could accomplish this goal of getting back into shape and rediscovering herself. She not only wanted it for herself but for her daughter. She was ashamed of the role model that she had become and wanted to change that because she did not want to see her daughter follow the same footsteps.
We worked out together and I helped her with any questions that she had. I offered an ear to her to listen to her problems so she could vent and start to heal. I gave her encouragement every day to believe in herself. I helped her to get back into hobbies that she was really into in her earlier days and I assigned her a trainer who was in the business for the right reasons and helped encourage her every single day to be the best that she could be.
Eventually she succeeded and ended up reaching her goals and that is a story of why discovering your “why” and having a positive support group behind you can take you to levels you never thought were possible. It is the most fulfilling thing as a fitness professional to see changes like this in people.

I have always believed that it’s just as important to take care of your mental shape just as much as it is for your physical shape. Sometimes you need to do some learning about yourself to give yourself the best chance to succeed on your fitness journey as well as improving your life. At the end of the day it is all about improving your life and how you feel.
The thing that I always have to work on consistently as far as mental fitness is to work on my patience on things. That has always been something that I have had to keep a keen eye on. What about you what is or are some things that you want to get better at mentally to be more fit?
