It oftentimes amazes me how often people say that they feel like working out is a chore. Or the other common saying I hear from people is, that they do not have time to fit in a workout.
When someone feels this way it is unbelievable to me :) I am personally addicted to exercise and how it makes me feel.
But what you may be missing out on though, is the healthiest happiness you could ever achieve. It does not come in a prescription, bottle, pill, or any other synthetic form.
It comes in the form of exercise, and the best part about it is you always have access to it.
Getting an endorphin rush is produced by exercise and it sends out “feel good” effects such as euphoria and relaxation. By exercising regular you can legitimately be “high on life” and experience the benefits of what many pills and supplements are trying to create.
The best workouts that will achieve this effect in my opinion are the workouts where you push yourself to maximum effort. If you do not believe me try it for yourself and let me know how you feel.
Many of my clients have said the exercise that has helped them feel this most consistently is running. In my case I have felt it in running, but I also feel it in a really intense set of squats or compound lifts such as power push press.
What exercises give you your natural high?
