If you are overweight and think that you cannot ever lose weight, I am going to say that you are dead wrong. The results take time to see but the long term effects are well worth the wait.
I know there are times when you feel that you work out harder than anyone out there and are not seeing the results you want fast enough. But don’t lose hope, they will come over time. I have seen it time and time again.
Things may have happened in your past that have really affected you and your current status. But that is the past and you can change your future, if you really want to.
It will take a lot of courage and strength. You will have to be brave and be ok with feeling insecure and having plenty of self doubt. But because you feel insecure or have self doubt should not be a reason why you don’t try.
It should not be a reason that you quit on yourself. You can be the next role model of someone who may be in the same situation you are in and desperately needs a leader to follow.
You can be the one who gives others the hope that they too can do it. Look at the show the biggest loser and what it does for so many people around the world. They watch the show and they are inspired to be a better person.
That can be you. You can be the role model who stands up and says, enough is enough. You can change people’s lives by changing your own. People respect others who chase after their dreams and take charge of their lives.
Be proactive and think of ways of how you can do it instead of ways on how you can’t do it.
Maybe you are surrounded by negative people. Or you in a family who is out of shape and overweight and they encourage you to not worry about it. If this is something that bothers you then I am giving you permission to be an outcast and become a leader.
I challenge you to be the best you can be and take the risk of being different. Just visualize how good it will feel when you break the plateaus and prove to yourself and everyone around you that it can be done.
Really think about that. I promise you, that if you believe in yourself and just show up everyday and try your best, you will not only change your life but the ones around you.
